MUSIC PRODUCTION
From an initial idea to a finished product, my aim is to make the process fun and rewarding. If you are looking for a small, friendly studio with personal service, please get in touch.

RECORDING
Laying down a track
Recording is straightforward in the little studio. I use a variety of microphones running via an audio interface into ProTools software. MIDI recording is a great option and offers a world of virtual instrument choice. The combination of virtual and live instruments can often work well, and it can be a good option to bring in a session musician to enhance the arrangement.
If you are considering a live recording of your choir or music group, I can provide an on-site recording service which is often a good option when making use of natural acoustics, for instance, in a church.
EDITING & MIXING
Shaping the audio
Essential parts of the process are the editing and mixing stages, where recordings are manipulated and brought together into the final arrangement. This can include timing and tuning adjustments, addition of reverb, compression and EQ and the addition of extra layers if required.
I enjoy this stage very much as it can make a big difference to the final result and is well worth the time invested.

MASTERING
Finishing touches
Many artists opt for mastering their tracks or albums. Whilst AI has become popular and widely accessible, I highly recommend seeking professional mastering from an experienced engineer for your music. My top choice for services is Russ Hepworth-Sawyer from MOTTO Sound who handles all mastering tasks with professionalism and prompt efficiency.

DISTRIBUTION
Getting your music heard
In the past, we would search through record shops for new albums from favourite artists. Today, streaming music to our headphones is more convenient than ever. This technological revolution has paved the way for independent artists to showcase their music alongside major stars. I can help distribute your music across all popular streaming platforms, or if you prefer physical media, arrange for CDs to be produced.
