Last summer, I unearthed a cassette tape recording of a concert by the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Police Band that I played in at the time. The date was 1975. I asked Kate if she would create CDs of this 50-year-old concert. She produced a CD - with all the mix ups on tape eliminated and the quality was unbelievable. How on earth did she do that?

Outstanding musician Tim Clarke played for me in my band for many years and had composed ten original compositions for us. Tim knew that his life was limited due to cancer. I think he wanted to record his music as a legacy to those of us who followed.

I got my ten best players together and he conducted his own music. Kate was the recording engineer as well as principal clarinettist. The resulting CD is brilliant.
